Finally some pics

The cardreader came so here are the pics I promised you last night.

First, the Crack Feather & Fan blanket.

I love, love, love this yarn. Malabrigo in Aqua. Fantastic!

Here is the brioche scarf that is for the next class I teach. I am using Lamb’s Pride Worsted in Auburgine and Victorian Pink on size 8 needles.

So, there you have what I am knitting on at the moment. It’s a fun pattern to knit and the colors are a good match.

  1. Wow, my head is spinning, what with everything your working on and all the tutorials. That feather and fan blanket is gorgeous and I bet it is soooo soft! Out of all your tutorials, what method of knitting socks do you like best? So far, I haven’t strayed from dpns, but the magic loop is intriguing.

  2. Love, love, love the feather and fan blanket. It looks so soft and cuddly. What a great pattern. You’ve inspired me again to get out of my comfort zone and try something new (and someday that something new will even require knitting needles!). And did you know that Crochet Me is releasing a book next month? Our local knitting shop is catering to crocheters in October and woo-hoo am I excited! Not that they turn us away at other times, but you know…

  3. What a sweet blanket. Can’t wait to see the finished product – nudge, nudge ūüôā Thanks to you, I’ve become more of a knit-a-holic. Got to keep up with the the Andreasen kid. I went to two yarn shops today (Sierra Knitting in Cameron Park and Lofty Lou’s in Pville) and touched, squished, hemmed, hawed and didn’t buy anything…..YET. But the wheels are turning. Well, back to the Aran Afghan. Must get this finished before any more Grandbaby projects, or I’ll NEVER finish it!!!

  4. I honestly can’t say that I have a favorite method of knitting socks. I would say that it’s pretty equal between magic loop & dpn’s. 2 circs is a bit cumbersome to me. But, I taught the class so I thought I would post my pattern & tutorial.

Sometimes I just yearn for dpn’s. Other times I like the quickness of magic loop. Just depends on my mood when it’s time to cast on I guess.

  5. Okay, so for years I have wanted to choose a fancy schmancy crochet doilie pattern and make it with a big hook & worsted yarn. By big hook I mean like H or I. I am a smaller hook kinda gal. You should jump on the circular blanket band wagon & show us all up with a doilie blankie! Do it, you know you wanna….

  6. Good for you pluggin’ along on the aran afghan. I love your color choices & in the long run the grandbaby (which I think will be a girl) will be the beneficiary of the blanket anyways so you can consider it baby knitting. At least in my book you can consider it baby knitting. I know, it’s not the fun baby knitting we all love but it still qualifies. ;o)

  7. You know I HATE crocheting with thread. All those little tiny stitches that you can’t see without a magnifying glass… But a doily blanket, how cool is that?!? And you’re right, I know I want to, so maybe it’s time to dig into my stash and break out some fun yarn and go for it. I do think however, that solid colors would work better for this project, and something fairly light, so you can see the stitching. Hmmmm, now what have I got down there?
