Love it.

I started to make a market bag using this cotton & of course, didn’t read the directions correctly so the bottom turned out way too frilly and not flat.

Perfect mistake to make! It is now the perfect handle protector so I don’t burn my hand when pouring my coffee!!

I have stopped drinking drip coffee at home completely now. Perc is all for me!

February Lady Sweater #3

I used 3 hanks of O-Wool dk weight wool in charcoal gray.

Size 8 needles, size XS

I have yet to buy the buttons for this one. Once I washed & blocked it it shrunk in length a bit more than I expected so I wasn’t real pleased.

Once I get buttons on I think I will be alright with it.

And, yes, another February Lady Sweater.

4, count ’em, 4. I have made 4 in the last 8 months. That is crazy!
And, I have planned more with yarn from my stash.

Knit on size 8 needles, size XXS

I used almost exactly (I had about 20 inches of yarn left over)4 balls of Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece for this one.
I made the sleeves a tad longer than others, 24 repeats of the gull stitch pattern.
The body is 21 repeats of the gull stitch pattern.

Again, this was a knit for the class I taught at Knit & Pearl, it was a fantastic group of ladies!!

Whisper Cardigan

I love this.
It’s the Whisper Cardigan from the Spring 2009 Interweave Knits.

I used Pakucho eco-butterfly cotton, laceweight, in the Cinnamon colorway. It only weighs 77grams or something ridiculous like that!

I love how it turned out. Unfortunately, it went straight on to the mannequin and I never got to wear it.
Luckily, the class starts in just over a week so I will get to take it home & use it!

The weight of this sweater is so fantastic for our climate here on the coast. All of June, and most of May, we have fog until late afternoon and need to layer. This is perfect for over a tank, or a dress.

I can’t say enough good things about the yarn either! The price is pretty much unbeatable, it ranges from $.15 per gram to $.25 cents per gram. Fantastic!!

I plan on making another one along with the class in a light shade of pink/tan.

Berroco Pucker

Well here she is!
The Pucker!

I used the yarn called for, Seduce by Berroco. I purchased the book, Norah Gaughan Vol. 4 (I think), and yarn at the Webs booth at Stitches West. Since neither were available at any of our LYS’s here in town I thought it was perfect to buy the whole project there.

I made the Small size & used 7 hanks of yarn.

This yarn was hard to ball up on a swift & ball winder so what I did was hang the hank over the corner of my little sitting table and knit straight from the hank. It worked well, surprisingly well!

Isabella finished

Isabella may be done but of course there are no pictures yet. I washed, dryed & blocked her. And, if it’s sunny on Thursday I may just wear her to our knit group.

Which, by the way, I posted a poll on the yahoo site today for all Santa Barbara Knitters members. We had talked about meeting at the Concert in the Park one time this summer & this Thursday was set on the calendar. I just wanted the democratic process to work so I made a poll & the majority will decide where we’re meeting this week.

With no pictures this is such a boring blog lately. Sorry about that! But my camera has been shipped & should be here by the end of the week.
