Vellichor Workshop

Vellichor (n): the strange wistfulness of used bookshops.

This fingering weight piece has it all; a basic shape that can be worn as a top or vest, an interesting stitch pattern and color placement to keep you interested, and a comfortable and flattering neckline.
Are there any features that don’t suit you? We will discuss options for modifying the fit for you.
The fabric is lightweight and, depending on your yarn choice, can be drapey or hold a firmer shape.

Yarn choices: remember, you want contrast between all 3 colors. You can use 2 colors, or a color-changing yarn like Spincycle or a handspun yarn. Note that the third color helps break up the contrast/background color.

• Wool blends that have some drape: silk, tencel, superwash
• Alpaca blends would have lovely drape but would be warmer for a winter vest, but may be too warm for the summer months
• Non-superwash wool would be a good choice for year-round wear
• Cotton and cotton blends are a great choice as well
