14 pair of socks to be darned.
It’s a couple years worth of holey socks that I have got to get repaired so I can wear them. I am down to only a handful of socks in my drawer so it’s now time to get a few more wearable.
Love my hand knit socks.

Twist Brioche Cowl
This is a design for a class I will be teaching next month at Twist Yarn Shop in Wichita.
2 color brioche cowl or infinity scarf using worsted weight yarn and size 10 needles. It’s a pretty fast knit & the brioche stitch makes it so warm & cushy it’s just yummy.
Once I get the pattern test knit I will be posting it for sale. I love this one!
Thanks to Shelly from Twist for the use of the photos 🙂
New Classes for 2013!!
NEW CLASSES FOR 2013!!!
I will be teaching at Twist Yarn Shop in downtown Wichita! I am so excited to join the Twist team of ladies (including my very own sister Cori). Amazingly close knit shop on the cutting edge of knitting & crochet trends. Awesome.
Brioche Stitch Learn the basic brioche knitting stitch in two colors. You’ll love this versatile stitch and the soft, warm, fluffy fabric it creates. You’ll create a reversible cowl or infinity scarf in two colors. Brioche is a great technique for intermediate knitters to add to their bag of tricks. Materials: Size US 10 24″ circular needles. Cowl: Worsted weight yarn, 50g each of two contrasting colors OR Infinity Scarf: Worsted weight yarn, 100g each of two contrasting colors. |
Two sessions:Sat., Mar. 9 & 16, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Prerequisites: Knit, purl, cast on, bind-off, ability to read a pattern (or K102). |
Double Knitting Double knitting allows you to knit two fabrics at once on one pair of needles. The resulting project allows you to do colorwork and make reversible items. You’ll make a cup cozy for this class, knitting in the round. It’s a lot of fun, and a great new skill for experienced knitters to learn. Materials: Fingering/sport weight yarn, about 20g each of two contrasting colors, size US 4 32″ circular needles or DPN’s OR worsted weight yarn, about 20g each of two contrasting colors, size US 8 32″ circular needles or DPN’s. |
Two sessions:Sat., Mar. 30 & Apr. 6, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Prerequisites: Intermediate knitter. |
Zig-a-Zag Glovelets PDF Pattern $4
I love this glove pattern. Meshy, squishy zig zag lace, knit in the round magic loop style and using just 35 grams, ONE 50 gram ball of fingering weight yarn.
(You know you all have those leftovers from socks or shawls that would be perfect for this pattern.)
The nice thing about this meshy pattern is that variegated yarns work perfectly without too much crazy pooling happening.
Go ahead, buy it, cast on & love it!

73.25/74 Christmas Gifts Finished
I. AM. SO. CLOSE.
I am working on the last of the 74 Christmas gifts that are being sent to family members all over the US. I just thought I would take a little break to share that fact. Once this gift is finished I can focus on the couple of requests that the kids had on their Christmas lists.
And I can take pictures! And wrap them! And tag them! And SHIP them!!
Then, after Christmas Day I can actually post about them all. Whew.
Holy Smokes, it’s almost here…
I cannot believe Christmas is18 days away!
I have been knitting & crocheting my little hands to the bone. Tons of gifts, more than a few custom orders with more coming in daily.
Here are some of the custom orders that I have sent out in the last few weeks.
While I love all the custom work, the Adventure Time theme & duplicate stitch were a true test of my commitment ;o) My kids LOVE Adventure Time. They watch it pretty much daily. Josh can play & sing most of the songs on his guitars. I do believe my brain is on AT overload but never will I turn away a chance to design and knit or crochet an AT item.
It’s been fun to get items made for their kids, really one of a kind unique Christmas gifts.
I am just crossing my fingers I have time to make my kids & hubby some unique surprise gifts for Christmas! :oP

Camacho Mohawk Flap Hat
This commission hat was a challenge for sure but now that it’s designed & finished I am pretty darn pleased! I was asked for skulls on the earflaps, ‘Camacho’ on the front, zigzag design around, braided ties, & last but not least a full mohawk. I did it all.
