All volunteer time is much appreciated.

If you cannot make it to pick up your unsold items, then you need to make arrangements with a friend that is selling or buying to pick up your items for you. Or, talk to me. Portage is a comfortable, top down raglan that is worked flat. The beautiful honeycomb detailing on the back is a fun, yet not difficult, element to break up the stockinette stitch fronts.
The sleeves are worked in the round. Only a small bit of seaming is required to attach the deep pockets to the hem.

Pi Shawl ~ Skill Building Class

pi shawl drying

A Traditional Pi Shawl ~ Elizabeth Zimmermann

This workshop style class will teach you the basics of circular shawls, this being a Pi shawl.

“Make it simple. For many knitters, this shawl has been an introduction to lace knitting and to the knitting of circular things. And a good choice it is. The lace patterns are not too difficult, and the circle’s shaping is simpler yet. But all can be even simpler.”
-Elizabeth Zimmermann

Yardage is not listed, weight is given as follows:
“9 oz fingering- (or 12oz sport-) weight Shetland wool”

From the Knitter’s Almanac (July) book:

Summary: A circular shawl based the geometry of Pi–the relationship between a circle’s circumference and its radius containing six shaping rounds.
