I asked for gift cards & boy did I get them!!
I love them all, I am so pleased. I spent my Michaels card already…yarn and a piece of organizing/desktop/furniture thingy. I will take a pic of it soon.

Birthday Quilt from Mom on Flickr – Photo Sharing!.
I wanted a good picture of the detailed quilt work Mom did on the inner panel. She used a cream thread for the center panel and multi-colored thread for the side panels and borders. Beautiful free motion (I think she said something about floating stitch, I really have no clue what you call all the quilting stitches) quilting. She does not use templates, it’s just her natural talent to quilt evenly and artistically.

I love the centerpiece. It reminds me of tole painting my Mom did for years & years. Plus, it’s very 1970’s which she knows I love!

My mom made me an amazing quilt for my birthday! It will work as a topper on our duvet to help keep us warm through the winter months.
She used Jacobean print fabrics and a friendship braid pattern along the sides.
The center floral applique is her own design, specifically for me. She told me she just channeled the ’70’s (I love ’70’s prints) and came up with it.
I love it! Love, love, love it!! My mom rocks!

That is my birthday Surprise from Disney. That made my morning too!
Since I don’t get to go to the park for free this year (their free day in the park on your birthday doesn’t start until 2009) I am pleased to get a Special Birthday Song & Games.
