Well, below is a picture of what will soon be the 7th member of our family! Fuzzy Fabiano is his name, we are adopting him from the local shelter, BUNS. I met him last night after knitting group at The Good Cup & I love him! He is a Jersey Woolie (at least that is what I was told last night) and he is so cute! Great temperment also, he will be neutered in the next few days which is fine by me! Also I have decided to really train the bunnies. Clicker training seems to be what I am hearing works with the best results. So that is my plan. I will be using a cage idea that is just a larger idea of what I have for Rose now. This is what I would like to do for both bunnies, maybe not quite so large but I want them to have a lot of room so maybe I will go this large. By the way, it will be out in the garage…not in my daughter’s room like Rose is now.
On to knitting news…I have completed almost one felted clog for my dad, done in about 2 hours, this is a quick gift!! Very pleased. Of course I say that now but who knows what I will think when I felt them & try to block them to a decent shape. If you have any suggestions or tips on shaping them once they are felted, PLEASE leave me a comment!! Thanks, I just don’t have the brain power to figure that out. I also completed about 6 inches on the second sleeve for my mom’s sweater & started a new hat for another christmas gift. So let’s do another tally on what needs to be done before I turn 30 (bday dec 17th, school out same day, hence all gifts must be either given to teachers or sent in the mail by then):
*felted clogs for dad
*mom’s sweater sleeve & sewing it up
*hat & scarf for Becks
*striped felted bag for Amy (ty’s teacher)
*felted brown messenger bag for Sadie’s teacher
~wishes of what I would like to have the time to do~
*finish sweater for George
*felted ballerina slippers for my mom & myself
*dog sweater for mom’s chihuahua, Chai (she is 13 years old, a teacup chihuahua that just shakes all the time & walks on her tip toes, love my li’l sister!)
Then of course there are about 2 million other plans that I have for projects but I think I am going to have some serious hand muscle rebellion soon.
I did find it interesting on the felted clog pattern how they have you make the sole so that you have to sew it up the middle. At first I found that rather annoying thinking I could do it a better way. Then I thought “why screw it all up because you think you are so damn smart?” So I followed the pattern & rather enjoyed it. I am interested to finish it completely. Hats off to the author, it’s a good pattern!
