This is my Aestlight shawl, all finished!
I used 2 balls of  Handpaintedyarn.com Boutone wool. Named for all the fantastic little wormy/coiled sections in the yarn that act like little buttons popping out.
I love it, the texture & pattern are meant for eachother!
So glad that after 4+ years of having this yarn in my stash I got to use it all up on the perfect project!

Waves of Grain Scarf on Flickr – Photo Sharing!

Waves of Grain Scarf on Flickr – Photo Sharing!.
Here is my Waves of Grain scarf all finished!
I used size 7 Harmony interchangable needles, 54grams of  Misti Alpaca Handpaint Lace yarn.
I decided I didn’t care about blocking it hard since I wanted to wear it all squishy & wrapped around my neck multiple times.
Even though I complained constantly & had no motivation to work on it I am pleased with how it turned out. It will get a lot of use.

Believe it or not I am actually around, knitting, crocheting & just keeping busy.
I finished this Reclamation Scarf by Stephanie Japel last week & love how it turned out.
I used 32grams of  100purewool fingering weight merino in Capricious on size 5 needles.  It is soft.  It is stretchy.  It is lovely!

Happy Hanukkah Kyle!

Kyle

This is Kyle. He’s our Coffeeman at Java Station where we meet each & every Wednesday for great knitting, coffee & tons of loudness. We thought he needed a gift for the holidays. And since he’s going out of town over Hanukkah tonight had to be the night!
The beanie is my Single Crochet Beanie pattern, you can find it on the Free Patterns page link on the left, using Patons SWS in Natural Natural, Natural Moss, Natural Snow & Natural Wood, from top to bottom. Size I hook, increased to 11sc between increases.

Tangled Yoke Fini

Details:
Yarn: 6 hanks
Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool
in 42 Rosehip
Needles: size 6 Knitpicks
Options
Mods: I chose to make the body a full 15″ from cast on edge to the point where you join the sleeves at the underarm. I am very glad I did!
I also lengthened the sleeves a lot; I made the 19.25″ and then joined them to the body.
Overall I am very, very pleased with this sweater!
I have worn it everyday since finishing it, does that say something??

Tyler's Skull Hat

I used HelloYarn’s Generic skull chart to make Tyler this hat. The gauge is much bigger so I did 3 repeats of the pattern instead of 4, casting on 96 sts. I also had to shorten it, I did 2 repeats of skulls instead of 3 and then added more to the brim of the hat to make it the length he likes.

Woolease in Gold & Black on size 7 knitpicks 40″ needles, magic loop method.

Surprisingly, this only took me about 4 hours to knit.
