Whew! Friday!

It was a hectic Friday! Not much knitting accomplished today though. Last night at the Good Cup was fun, nice small group with Melissa, Suzanne, Tracy, Jayme and I. It was fun to have a small group but I really miss our huge groups too. Laura, you need to come!!! I sure hope that next week has a good turn out so that we can all wish eachother happy holidays!

Tracy & I spent the morning in Solvang running errands & took a little time for ourselves to go into Village Spinning. Very fun!! Amazing selection of yarns. Some handspun & dyed, others brand name. I thoroughly enjoyed myself & need to go back when I don’t have a 3 year old terror hanging off of me & Tracy! Of course while in Solvang we had to go to the clog store, fell in love with about a dozen different pairs of shoes that I am pretty sure I need now!! Got a couple (literally) of Christmas presents. Oh and of course the candy!! Did you know that Danes consume over 30 pounds of candy per person per year!! That is more than any other country! And yes, my husband is danish so we love the candy around here!

Back to knitting….I am feeling less inclined to knit because right now it’s all forced knitting. I have to finish gifts. I don’t want to, I have to. Therefore it’s not fun. But I do have a lot of fun projects to look forward to as soon as I do finish the gifts. Unfortunately that thought is not motivating me the way I had hoped it would.

So off to have a late night knitting on those gifts!

Aren’t we all just really yarn collectors??

I had an epiphany today….can’t we just call ourselves yarn collectors?? I love the yarn for yarn’s sake not just to knit with it. Yarn does make pretty items but can’t we just admire it on it’s own? I find myself feeling guilty about my stash & then I realize that I should just enjoy the yarn. The colors, the texture, the beauty that is yarn!

I think I may just have a poll about that….
