So for todays post….

We are going to add onto my list of started, but not finished, projects…

Labrador sweater for little girl

Cotton bag for niece

New poncho for myself

Cotton crocheted bucket hat (similair to bottoms up hat but in crochet)

Great stuff huh??

I am just about to rip my hair out! I am going to finish something over the weekend, I do believe I will pick the pagoda hooded sweatshirt! If I can actually put in enough time on it. Weekends get hectic around here! We’ll just have to see!

See?? I told you I was a diamond in the rough!

You’re a Diamond. You seem like a cold and an unreachable person outside, yet you are beautiful inside and outside. You may be stubborn at times. You act with grace and elegance and you are a precious asset to all your friends.

Just have to love all the online quiz sites! I am a diamond, I know it’s shocking at first but I have always known it to be true!

SO nothing exciting happening today, had the carpets cleaned this morning so I am trying to keep my lil’ devils off of it with popsicles & chocolate! I think I am going to work on my pagoda sweatshirt for a bit, then rip out my hooded scarf because now I want to felt it. I loved the yarn so I dont feel so bad for ripping it out. Oh, oh!! I ordered some new yarn from www.handpaintedyarn.com GORGEOUS!!

More later!

Great lunch!

So last night was our bad to the bone knitting group at Java Station! Fun as always &  a great surprise, Thuy was there! SO Tracy, Thuy, Erin & I all stayed a little later than the rest & just chatted it up! I am so happy with the radical women in this group! As a matter of fact a group of us went to lunch today & had a great time. Kind of last minute plans last night as we were all leaving. Thuy kinda was the bonding factor in it all, we wanted to get another visit in with her before she had to leave in a couple of days.

On the knitting front, I have done it again! Started a dozen projects & finished none….grrrrr….frustrating! Let’s tick the list off, shall we?

Sweater for hubby George

Sweater for daughter Sadie

Hooded sweater for myself

Stripey sweater for myself

Blanket for hubby that just isn’t gonna get finished

Hooded scarf (started & almost finished last Sunday but short one ball)

Oh, and of course today we stopped into the lys & I found one pattern book I have been hunting for for months. And 2 other Katia books that had great patterns! The yarn isn’t available anymore but anything of the same guage will work.

I am determined to finish at least one of these damn projects this week. I keep thinking ” oh just start & finish something smaller to make yourself feel better”. So I start something, like the hooded scarf, and end up one ball short!! Lame!! Can yah tell I am just a tad bit frustrated with myself? <sigh> That is the way life goes, it just is not fair.

Overall it’s a happy life, just not a fair one!

Back from Idaho

Whew! Amazing how fast that 2 weeks went! It sure would be nice if it was longer but unfortunately life must resume.

One of the best things is the HUGE surprise waiting for me when I got home. You see, my hunk of a husband couldn’t go with the 3 kids, Tracy & I, so he thought he would do some things around the house. Like buy me a new washer & dryer set~yeeha~ and completely remodel our bedroom!! I love it! I must say ‘queer eye’ has nothing on my hunk!

SO I must resume my usual knitting & crocheting habits. I did acquire a few new goodies while on our trip, I will put up some pics soon. Til’ something exciting happens, ciao!

Current happenings

Blah day today but a lot has been happening on the knitting front! Went to the knitting group last night at Java Station. Met one new lady, Julie, very fun! Laura & Mary were there. So a very small group, but intimate & pretty darn entertaining!

I finished a couple of christmas gifts for my sisters family. All 5 girls are getting something hand made, that is my goal & I am sticking to it! I also love working on my pagoda hooded sweatshirt. So much that I am making one for my daughter out of some uruwool that I got a while back. Also I am have a very lofty goal for myself while I am on my trip to Idaho. I am planning on making my hubby (who cannot make it due to work) a sweater as a surprise gift! Yay! Hope that works out well, sometimes on a trip you find you never pick up the project you bring with you~ that is why I have a goal!

My youngest son is the only child without a handknit sweater. Don’t know why that is but it’s something else that must be remedied quickly! I am doing pretty good at not purchasing more yarn but I found a seller on ebay that is selling huge lots & they are kinda irresisteble.

Lame! oh well! Get while the getting is good I suppose! I just have to finish more projects…more…more…more!
