A positive outlook can change things!

I am a firm believer in being well educated on a topic. I like to hear both sides of a story. I have been in more arguments with my husband than I can count where he gets angry with me for being “devils advocate”. I feel I am fair with other people & their opinions.

That is why I can’t take it anymore! I do feel that in order to change things there must be positive reinforcement. Not so much negativity! I am proud to say that I voted for our president because I feel that all in all there is truth to be found in this White House. Do you want all goverment secrets to be voted on by the innumerable idiots in our society? Uneducated, blind mice that follow whomever? I don’t! I want people in those positions that can make informed (albeit sometimes skewed information gets through, people do have their own agendas) educated decisions that will last through all the crises that our baby of a country must tolerate! Have we forgotten that we are only 228 years old, fighting a world that is eons older than us?

Whew! That has been boiling under my skin for a couple of months & I finally had it today after scrolling through the blog ring. I am hearing a lot of hate & scorn but why can’t we just decide to work with what the majority of people want and make a good thing happen? Had Sen. Kerry been elected I would have said, “Okay, that is what the people in our country want. Let’s make it happen! There can be good in everyone, let’s see what he’s got!”

SO there you have it! Please don’t judge me on my opinions, I don’t judge others. I just don’t like mean people that focus on the negative. That’s all!

I am so in the need to crochet~

I really, really want to just go sit & crochet something. Unfortunately I only have 13 days to finish the Christmas junk. So there you have it. I do have it planned to crochet a shawl for my mother in law whilst I am on my trip to Idaho. It will be all cold & cozy at my parents. Kids will be busy with their cousins & grandparents. Perfect time to crochet blindly & swiftly!

Today has flown past! I have no clue what will be possible tonight. At least I have dinner planned for the fam. That’s one dilema solved. The other is the amount of laundry & cleaning to be done. One room at a time! THen when I hit my bedroom I will sit & knit after cleaning. I am about half done with another bag, this one for my sister. I was hoping to get it finished today to get it felted tomorrow. I feel a late night comin’ on!

Hair today, gone tomorrow

So not original…I know! Just thought I would enlighten you all & let you know that the hair crisis is temporarily over! Tracy & I hunted through hairstyle magz & found some really cute cuts for the both of us.  So I got home last night after that adventure & decided that I had had enough! So in the shower I just relieved myself of some scruff….I was going to put in a picture that I took but decided against it. Cuz some of you won’t have the before to compare it to. Pointless really!

On the knitting front, I completed about 1/3 of a bag today. Not too bad. Got another 6 inches or so done on the ab fab blanket. I was really feeling accomplished & thought I would just go ahead & start a few other projects. Yeah….I am so not going to finish them! I am bound & determined to only work on Christmas gifts that have to go with me to Idaho in 2 weeks! But  I really, really want to make some other fun stuff! Patience grasshopper!

Real quick

I am too tired & wiped out to say much today. We got home from the funeral last night around 9:30pm. By the way, TRACY YOU ROCK!!

I got a little bit of knitting done in the car. About 4 inches of a sweater, in the round, for a niece for Christmas. While I was gone Tracy had the pleasure of opening a package of yarn from handpaintedyarn. Very pretty pot surprise & super bulky merino. Now I have 4 of the wonderful super bulky merino. Have no clue what I will do with it but it’s so pretty!

Okay, I must go now, nothing else in my brain is working….obviously not grammar!
