WHAT?!?! Another project??? Please can I?

I really, really want to start a bag for my mom!! I had the idea in the shower (after cleaning it with some serious brain-cell killing tile cleaner) that my mother needs one of my bags. I have made one for just about everyone but her. My thought is, use up some of the handpaintedyarn bulky wool in chocolate that I have and use some of the reject pagoda for a few stripes near the top. Or instead of stripes I could do an initial L for her, Lois. Oh, now that sounds fun! So that is what I am considering doing. Don’t know if I will start it or not. Of course with all the cleaning & b.s. today I haven’t finished dad’s scarf. But I have tonight & tomorrow to complete my goal of the scarf & at least one sleeve for Bob.

And, I haven’t heard back from the woman at BUNS about the angora bunny!! I must know now!!

Oh and I keep forgetting to post about another thing…Tracy & I went to Alpha Thrift on Hollister Ave. yesterday looking for some yarn & Tracy found a HUGE Limited sweater made of the coolest yarn. So it is our first yoinking experiment. ( I like that word “yoinking” cuz that is what taking apart a sweater is to me ;o)) I am not kidding the sweater is huge as you can see in the picture above. I will take a pic of how much yarn we get out of it too.

Ciao for now!

~Cleaning days~

Friday & Saturday, cleaning days! Tracy was kind enough to help me get some cleaning done yesterday. I brought out 3 of my 6 canvas cubes of yarn to the garage to be with my other yarns. I had them in next to my chair because of how much I love the yarns that are in them. It’s stuff that I have planned projects for. Just not able to work or start on any of them at the moment.
Unfortunately not much knitting done yesterday. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I got any done except for maybe 3 rounds on my koigu kpppm drop stitch scarf. I had it rolled up in my jacket pocket during the Christmas Parade in downtown Santa Barbara last night.

This morning I have been cleaning, bathrooms & kitchen. But now I am free to knit, knit, knit!! I am going to try to finish my dad’s irish hiking scarf. That is my plan, I think I may actually get it done soon enough to work on a sleeve for mom’s bob sweater. We’ll see.

I received an email from our local BUNS that there may be an angora rabbit for adoption. Woohoo!!! So we are starting the process. I guess I have to wait to hear from the foster mom to see if anyone else has been interested. And, get this, my husband has said yes!! I thought that was going to take some serious coniving to get him to agree to a second rabbit but he said okay fairly easily. Woohooo again!! Now I have to just get a spinning wheel to really get myself all set up. I am really rather excited about this! Crossing my fingers that it’s still available….
