I have been casting on more than my fair share of new projects in the past week. I have about 4 more that I am forcing myself not to start. Lots of mittens, gloves, a skirt & many, many sweaters. You can always browse my Queue in Ravelry to see what’s on my mind.
One sweater being the Cherry pattern that Susie is working on. I am going to use Kertzer Butterfly 10 cotton in teal.
It’s a beautiful color, a tad darker than in the picture though. With the cloudy, rainy day I had a hard time getting the light settings right.
For now, I am working on the Venezia Pullover and the Hourglass Sweater. It’s nice to move from crazy-chart-colorwork to plain-old-boring-stockinette. Of course there are a few small items that get done in between just because the fancy strikes me.
I have started Tracy’s latest Silkie Socks that Rock, colorway Gingerbread Dude, socks twice & frogged them twice. I do believe I have found the perfect pattern for the yarn and her taste. It’s a simple picot edge, top down, short row heel, ankle sock. I like it. I like it a lot. I just hope the fit is good for her :o) You would think after a dozen pair for her I would have them fitting perfectly, I don’t think I do.
I hope you all are having a great start to your New Year. I love how January makes me feel! I get more accomplished knitting-wise in the first few months of the year than the rest of the year combined. Happy Knitting New Year!
