WOOHOO! Oh how I love the homespun circle blanket!! Done in about about 30 hours, give or take, not bad for a gigantic circle out of the most pain-in-the-butt yarn ever invented! I am planning on setting up my digital camera on this computer tomorrow so that I can actually show tantalizing pictures!
I did change the fringe all around. They had it crocheted with 40 chains as the actual fringe then slst through one knit stitch, chain 40, skip 2 knit stitches, slst, chain 40, etc…
I wasn’t digging how damn long they were so I decided to do chain 20, sl st into knit st, chain 20, skip 3 sts, sl st into knit st, chain 20, go back and sl st into the middle st in between the first fringe, chain 20, etc….so that they overlap. It worked perfectly if I do say so myself. I do promise pictures tomorrow!!
Also, as sad as it is, I have been watching knitty gritty on diy. I am drawn to anything knitting therefore I torture myself by watching a very, let’s just say, lame show. It has the potential to be really cool but alas it has yet to really impress me. Go ahead Tracy, laugh all you want!
Now my goal is to get back to the aran sweater, I only have half of the sleeves left to do then sew it together. Not bad~ I just hate finishing sweaters!
Pushaw! That damn knitters review on handpaintedyarn has really screwed up my knitting world. I am holding onto my last 4 colors of merino like gold!! Just not happy about that~
Now I will go curl up with my yummy new blanket & knit on my aran sleeves!
