A little spin

Oh how do I love the merino roving from handpaintedyarn ?? The lettuce color is spinning so nicely! It’s the easiest roving to spin so far, the draft of it works so smoothly. Have no idea if any of the wording of my description is “correct” in spinning terms but that’s how it works in my brain!

I have those 2 hanks of the merino/silk that I can’t decided what to do with. I will get at least that much more out of the roving that I have left. I suppose I could order more & use it for a sweater. It would be gorgeous knit up into a v-neck sweater. My brain is a-workin’!

I just spent 2.5 hours working on my yarn/craft/sewing area in the garage & there should still be enough room to park the car too. Yay! Since I haven’t got the sunroof closed all the way and there is  a chance of showers tomorrow. I have the table up now so I can actually get out my knitting machine & start using it. I will have to beg Tracy for assistance I am sure! I think I will do a blanket first. I already know the yarn I want to use.

I found an 8 pound cone of some acrylic homepun type yarn but it is not soft at all. I think my plan was to make a rug out of it. I think I will try it on the machine but I really don’t think there is much chance of it working, too bumpy. So far I haven’t had the chance to sit & knit today. I could go do that now and get some progress made on my list of Christmas gifts.

Yup, that is the christmas list! Of course I can always do beanies for my husband’s employees. Simple 20-something boys!

Another thing I have been thinking of doing is buying the  to do some really fun projects with my roving! It is on my amazon wishlist. I will of course put a link on the sidebar! I certainly wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on seeing what I desire so desperately to have!

Off I go to actually knit something!
